However, this requires manpower and it can be time-consuming. In recent years, labor costs have risen gradually and have forced many companies to use automated manufacturing processes more extensively. Automation will reduce the use of labor, increase productivity and eliminate quality issues caused by human error. In the electronics industries, during the process of production, loader and unloader equipment is widely used to move raw materials from the conveyer or belt to the stack (cassette). To set up a flexible and efficient motion control system, a high-speed and high-precision servo system is required to accurately control the loader and unloader equipment and improve the manufacturing quality and quantity. Application As shown in the figure below, the system has a feeding conveyer which is able to load and unload the solar cells to the stack (cassette). After all of the solar cells have been placed on the stack (cassette), the system will go to the next manufacturing process. The mechanical system includes screws, speed reducers, lift units, oil-less bearings and rails. If there are 15 trays in the stack (cassette) and the thickness of each tray is 3cm, then the entire moving distance required is 45cm and the total time required is six seconds to finish. Answer: The target speed of the stack (cassette) is at least 8cm/second. This indicates that the screw requires 8 turns for one second and the motor requires 8X5=40r/s (this because the system speed is a fifth of the motor speed). Then, the electronic gear ratio setting should be set as follows: 200kp / s 5000 ppr 40r / s If the motor speed is 2400rpm, to maximize the performance of Delta’s total solution, the motor speed will need 3000rpm when the max. pulse output frequency of the DVP series PLC is 200Kpps.
