Electronic Dual Relay
200A at 12V
Functions as a Normally Off relay or
as a Latching Relay, depending on
which wires are connected by the user.
Solid-state reliability. Withstands
conditions that would ‘kill’ an
electromechanical solenoid –
stands up to roadsplash and vibration.
Low control and quiescent currents ideal for idle reduction, battery saving,
and electronic control applications.
For use on all vehicle electrical systems such as heavy truck,
off-road, construction, material handling, refuse collection or marine.
Non-arcing – can be used in hazardous environments
(Ignition protected to ISO 8846).

48521
Features & Benefits
Applications
• Handles high current of 200A: big enough to
control most onboard equipment.
• Use in situations where traditional solenoids
and relays are showing a high failure rate
due to vibration or moisture ingress from
roadsplash.
• One part number; two functions: user can connect
Dual Relay as a Normally Off or as a Latching
Relay. One SKU, two functions means less stock,
more inventory turns.
• Waterproof and dustproof to IP67 (International Standard) per IEC 529
• Simple installation, safe operation: protected against misconnect, overcurrent, short circuit and
overheating. Optional remote status LED light (On/
Off) gives warning to vehicle operator.
• Low 2mA control and quiescent currents: protect battery power. Makes the best use of battery
power in anti-idling applications.
• No arcing contacts: high durability and reliability (>1,000,000 cycles). No moving parts means high resistance to vibration. Generates less electrical noise for applications that control sensitive
electronic equipment. Ignition protected Dual
Relay can be used in hazardous conditions.
• Use in limited access locations where the
cost to repeatedly change-out a traditional
solenoid justifies the increased reliability of
a solid state device.
• Use in motor applications that require
frequent activation that wears out traditional
solenoids due to arcing.
• Use to control electronics that could be
damaged by the electrical noise created
by electromechanical contact closure.
• Use for idle reduction where loads will be
running on battery power. Dual Relay 2mA
control current is a much lower draw on
battery than the 1A typical for traditional
solenoids. Saves battery power.
