The purpose of this notice is to inform you that the product line is being discontinued. PCN Type: Notice of product discontinuance requiring either a Last Time Buy or migration to an alternative product. Product(s) Affected: All products with part numbers beginning with DC048B. See the attached for a complete listing of affected model numbers. Proposed Changes: Due to low manufacturing volumes, the product line has become uneconomical to manufacture and support. Although not drop-in replacements, functionally and electrically equivalent alternative products are available. Customer Impact: Option 1: Customers may calculate total lifetime needs for the product and place a last time buy order on or before August 30, 2013. Shipments may be scheduled for delivery as late as November 30, 2013. Option 2: Equivalent functionality can be achieved with individual VI Brick PRMs and VTMs. This would require a re-layout of the customer PCB as this is not a drop in solution. Field Applications Engineers in your region can assist with transitioning the design. Option 3: Approximate functionality can be achieved with Micro or Mini DC-DC converters.
