Description Purpose and application The TOUCH DIM RMC radio remote control enables the wireless control of two TOUCH DIM RC radio receivers, each with two channels. Up to four connected luminaire groups, each with up to 15 electronic control gears featuring the TOUCH DIM® function, can be independently operated. TOUCH DIM RMC Function The TOUCH DIM RMC radio remote control sends radio signals to the radio receiver, which converts these and transmits them to the connected electronic control gears. The radio remote control does not require batteries and is absolutely maintenance-free. The necessary transmission energy is generated by an integrated inductive energy converter when the pushbutton is pressed. Design A C B D The radio remote control is made up of the following components: • Button 1: pushbutton for luminaire group (A) connected to Ch 1 of the first radio receiver • Button 2: pushbutton for luminaire group (B) connected to Ch 2 of the first radio receiver • Button 3: pushbutton for luminaire group (C) connected to Ch 1 of the second radio receiver • Button 4: pushbutton for luminaire group (D) connected to Ch 2 of the second radio receiver Radio remote control Operating instructions Operation Functionality The radio remote control can be used to operate two TOUCH DIM RC radio receivers (E). Ch 1 The radio control system of each radio receiver consists of two channels (Ch 1 und Ch 2). The luminaire groups connected to outputs „Ch 1“ and „Ch 2“ of the radio receivers can be independently operated with the radio remote control: Ch 1 TOUCH DIM RC First radio receiver: TOUCH DIM RC • Luminaire group on channel 1: button 1 Ch 2 • Luminaire group on channel 2: button 2 Ch 2 Second radio receiver: • Luminaire group on channel 1: button 3 • Luminaire group on channel 2: button 4 Basically, the transmitters can be used to operate all TOUCH DIM/TOUCH DIM sensor functions of OSRAM electronic control gear. The radio remote controls must be trained in the radio receiver. Note: To train the radio remote controls, see the separate instructions of the TOUCH DIM RC radio receiver. The radio transmission range between the radio remote control and radio receiver is influenced by the following factors: • Construction materials • Type and number of obstacles between the transmitter and receiver 2x < 30 s 1 2 • Sources of interference and signal reflections 3 Switching on and off the luminaires Via short press. • Button 1: luminaire group on channel 1 of the first radio receiver A 2x 1 2 s < 30 1 2 3 max • Button 2: luminaire group on channel 2 of the first radio receiver 3 • Button 3: luminaire group on channel 1 of the second radio receiver ... B • Button 4: luminaire group on channel 2 of the second radio receiver Changing the brightness A > 30 s 1 2 1 3 2 max Via long press. 3 B ... • Button 1: luminaire group on channel 1 of the first radio receiver • Button 2: luminaire group on channel 2 of the first radio receiver • Button 3: luminaire group on channel 1 of the second radio receiver 1 > 30 s 2 3 • Button 4: luminaire group on channel 2 of the second radio receiver Each repeated long key button press causes a toggle between increased brightness and decreased brightness. Page 1 of 2 Operation (cont.) Troubleshooting If you cannot remedy the fault, please contact the Customer Service department of the luminaire manufacturer. Luminaire does not function No mains voltage present. à Use a voltage tester to test if mains voltage is present. Illuminants are faulty. à Replace illuminant. Luminaire was switched off via the wall-mounted or hand-held transmitter. à Switch on luminaire. Luminaire does not react as expected to the press of a button. Hand-held transmitter has not been trained. à Train the hand-held transmitter. Radio receiver is too far away from the hand-held transmitter. à Reduce the distance between the hand-held transmitter and the radio receiver. Button on the hand-held transmitter was pressed too long or too short. à See „Changing the brightness manually“.
