TC7MA2374FK TOSHIBA CMOS Digital Integrated Circuit Silicon Monolithic TC7MA2374FK Low-Voltage Octal D-Type Flip-Flop with 3.6 V Tolerant Inputs and Outputs The TC7MA2374FK is a high performance CMOS octal D-type flip-flop. Designed for use in 1.8 V, 2.5 V or 3.3 V systems, it achieves high speed operation while maintaining the CMOS low power dissipation. It is also designed with over voltage tolerant inputs and outputs up to 3.6 V. This 8 bit D-type flip-flop is controlled by a clock input (CK) and output enable input (OE). When the OE input is high, the eight outputs are in a high impedance state. The 26 Ω series resistor helps reducing output overshoot and undershoot without external resistor. All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge. Weight: 0.03 g (typ.) Features • 26 Ω series resistors on outputs. • Low voltage operation: VCC = 1.8~3.6 V • High speed operation: tpd = 5.1 ns (max) (VCC = 3.0~3.6 V) tpd = 6.2 ns (max) (VCC = 2.3~2.7 V) tpd = 9.8 ns (max) (VCC = 1.8 V) • 3.6 V tolerant inputs and outputs. • Output current: IOH/IOL = ±12 mA (min) (VCC = 3.0 V) IOH/IOL = ±8 mA (min) (VCC = 2.3 V) IOH/IOL = ±4 mA (min) (VCC = 1.8 V) • Latch-up performance: −300 mA • ESD performance: Machine model ≥ ±200 V Human body model ≥ ±2000 V • Package: VSSOP (US) • Power down protection is provided on all inputs and outputs. • Supports live insertion/withdrawal (*) *: To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to VCC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver. 1 2007-10-19 TC7MA2374FK Pin Assignment (top view) IEC Logic Level OE 1 20 VCC Q0 2 19 Q7 D0 3 18 D7 D1 4 17 D6 Q1 5 16 Q6 Q2 6 15 Q5 D2 7 14 D5 OE CK 1 11 3 D0 5 7 6 8 9 13 12 14 15 17 16 18 19 D2 D3 D3 8 13 D4 Q3 9 12 Q4 GND 10 11 CK D5 D6 D7 2 1D 4 D1 D4 EN C1 Q0 Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 Q5 Q6 Q7 Truth Table Inputs Outputs OE CK D H X X Z X Qn L L L L L H H X: Don’t care Z: High impedance Qn: No change System Diagram D1 4 D0 3 D CK OE 11 D2 7 D CK Q D3 8 D CK Q D4 13 D CK Q D5 14 D CK Q D6 17 D CK Q D7 18 D CK Q D CK Q Q CK 1 2 Q0 5 6 9 Q1 Q2 Q3 2 12 Q4 15 Q5 16 Q6 19 Q7 2007-10-19 TC7MA2374FK Absolute Maximum Ratings (Note 1) Characteristics Symbol Rating Unit Power supply voltage VCC −0.5~4.6 V DC input voltage VIN −0.5~4.6 V −0.5~4.6 (Note 2) DC output voltage VOUT Input diode current IIK −50 Output diode current IOK ±50 DC output current IOUT ±50 mA Power dissipation PD 180 mW ICC/IGND ±100 mA Tstg −65~150 °C DC VCC/ground current Storage temperature V −0.5~VCC + 0.5 (Note 3) mA (Note 4) mA Note 1: Exceeding any of the absolute maximum ratings, even briefly, lead to deterioration in IC performance or even destruction. Using continuously under heavy loads (e.g. the application of high temperature/current/voltage and the significant change in temperature, etc.) may cause this product to decrease in the reliability significantly even if the operating conditions (i.e. operating temperature/current/voltage, etc.) are within the absolute maximum ratings and the operating ranges. Please design the appropriate reliability upon reviewing the Toshiba Semiconductor Reliability Handbook (“Handling Precautions”/“Derating Concept and Methods”) and individual reliability data (i.e. reliability test report and estimated failure rate, etc).
