3-Pin Microprocessor Reset Monitor (Preliminary) Description The CYT809 Features CYT809 is a cost-effective system Precision VCC Monitor for 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.3V, and supervisor Integrated Circuit (IC) designed to 5.0V Supplies monitor VCC in digital and mixed signal systems and 140msec Guaranteed Minimum RESET Output provide a warning signal when the system power Duration supply is out of working range, and a reset signal to RESET Output Guaranteed to VCC=1.0V the host processor when necessary. No external Low 18µA Supply Current components are required. VCC Transient Immunity The reset output is driven active within 20µsec Small SOT-23 Package of VCC falling through the reset voltage threshold. No External Components Reset is maintained active for a minimum of Wide Operating Temperature: 0°C to 85°C 140msec after VCC rises above the reset threshold. The CYT809 has an active-low RESET output. The output of the CYT809 is guaranteed valid down to VCC=1V. Both devices are available in a SOT-23 Application package. Computers The CYT809 is optimized to reject fast transient Embedded systems glitches on the VCC line. Low supply current of 18µA Battery powered equipment (VCC=3.3V) makes these devices suitable for battery Critical µP power supply monitoring powered applications.
