Motor driver ICs Stepping motor driver BA6343 The BA6343 is a driver designed to drive the stepping motors used in printers and fax machines. Applications Printers and facsimiles Features 1) Micro-step drive compatible. 2) Overheating protection circuit on chip. 3) Wide operating voltage range (7V to 33V). Absolute maximum ratings (Ta = 25C) Recommended operating conditions (Ta = 25C) 813 Motor driver ICs Block diagram 814 BA6343 Motor driver ICs BA6343 Pin descriptions 815 Motor driver ICs Input / output circuits (1) Logic and analog inputs (2) 816 H-bridge output BA6343 Motor driver ICs BA6343 Electrical characteristics (unless otherwise noted, Ta = 25C, VM = 13V, and VCC = 5V) (1) DC characteristics (2) AC characteristics (channels A, AB, B, BB, and RL = 100Ω) Circuit operation Input / output truth table 817 Motor driver ICs Application example 818 BA6343 Motor driver ICs Operation notes (1) Power supply voltages 1 and 2 (VM and VCC) The rise and fall order for the power supply voltages 1 and 2 (VM and VCC5) is as follows. Rise: power supply voltage 1 (VM) on power supply voltage 2 (VCC5) on Fall: power supply voltage 2 (VCC5) off power supply voltage 1 (VM) off (2) Logic and analog input pins Due to the circuit construction, when the logic and analog input pins are open, it is equivalent to a high-level input. (3) Thermal shutdown (TSD) BA6343 At Tj = 150C (min.), all logic input voltages go low (channels A, AB, B and BB). Therefore, the outputs (OUTA, AB, B and BB) all go high impedance. The TSD has approximately 35C of hysteresis. (4) VCC5 pin When VCC5 is open, it is internally pulled down to ground via a resistor (20kΩ (Typ.)). (5) Heat sink Be certain to connect the heatsink to GND. Electrical characteristics curve External dimensions (Units: mm) 819
