Current rating is determined by either or both of the following conditions: 1. Self heating raises SURFCOIL temperature 20°C 2. Inductance value reduced by 10% from saturation effect Mechanical (Chip Inductors) • Suitable for wave flow soldering, infrared, and vapor phase reflow (typically over 90% coverage) • Withstands soldering temperatures without damage • Fully encapsulated and thermally cycled for stability and highest reliability Encapsulation: Epoxy resin all series; GLC, GLD and GLW have ferrite filler for closed magnetic circuit.
