The PI5C3861 is a 10-bit, 2-port bus switch designed with a low ON resistance (5-ohm) allowing inputs to be connected directly to outputs. The bus switch creates no additional propagation delay or additional ground bounce noise. The switches are turned ON by the Bus Enable (BE) input signal. Near zero propagation delay 5-ohm switches connect inputs to outputs Direct bus connection when switches are ON Ultra Low Quiescent Power (0.2 µA Typical) – Ideally suited for notebook applications • Package: 24-pin, 150-mil wide plastic QSOP (Q) Pb-free available Product Pin Configuration Logic Block Diagram A0 B0 A9 B9 NC A0 A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 A8 A9 GND 1 2 3 4 24-Pin 5 Q 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 24 23 22 21 20 19 18 17 16 15 14 13 VCC EN B0 B1 B2 B3 B4 B5 B6 B7 B8 B9 EN Product Pin Description Pin Name BE A0–9 B0–9 GND VCC Truth Table(1) Function Disconnect Connect BE H L A0–9 Hi-Z B0–9 Description Bus Enable Input (Active LOW) Bus A Bus B Ground Power NOTE: 1. Typical values are at Vcc = 5.0V, TA = 25°C ambient and maximum loading. 3. Not more than one output should be shorted at one time. Duration of the test should not exceed one second. 4. Measured by the voltage drop between A and B pin at indicated current through the switch. ON resistance is determined by the lower of the voltages on the two (A,B) pins. 5. This parameter is determined by device characterization but is not production tested. 2 PS7021E 06/16/04 PI5C3861 10-Bit, 2-Port Bus Switch 12345678901234567890123456789012123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123456789012345678901212345678901234567890123456789012123456789012 12345678901234567890123456789012123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123456789012345678901212345678901234567890123456789012123456789012 Power Supply Characteristics Test Conditions(1) Parameters Description Min. See test circuit and wave forms. 2. This parameter is guaranteed but not tested on Propagation Delays. 3. The bus switch contributes no propagational delay other than the RC delay of the ON resistance of the switch and the load capacitance. The time constant for the switch alone is of the order of 0.25 ns for 50 pF load. Since this time constant is much smaller than the rise/fall times of typical driving signals, it adds very little propagational delay to the system. Propagational delay of the bus switch when used in a system is determined by the driving circuit on the driving side of the switch and its interaction with the load on the driven side. 3 PS7021E 06/16/04 PI5C3861 10-Bit, 2-Port Bus Switch 12345678901234567890123456789012123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123456789012345678901212345678901234567890123456789012123456789012 12345678901234567890123456789012123456789012345678901234567890121234567890123456789012345678901212345678901234567890123456789012123456789012 Packaging Mechanical: 24-pin QSOP (package code Q) 24 .008 0.20 MIN. .150 .157 .008 .013 0.20 0.33 3.81 3.99 Guage Plane .010 0.254 .016 .035 0.41 0.89 Detail A 1 .337 .344 0˚-6˚ .041 1.04 REF 8.56 8.74 .033 0.84 .053 .069 .015 x 45˚ 0.38 1.35 1.75 Detail A .007 .010 SEATING PLANE .025 typical 0.635 0.406 1.27 .016 .050 .004 0.101 .010 0.254 .008 0.203 .012 0.305 0.178 0.254 .228 .244 5.79 6.20 X.XX DENOTES DIMENSIONS X.XX IN MILLIMETERS Ordering Information Orde ring Code Packaging Code Package Type PI5C3861Q Q 24- pin 150- mil wide plastic QSOP PI5C3861QE Q Pb- free, 24- pin 150- mil wide plastic QSOP Notes: 1.
