PCN Type: Product fit Product(s) Affected: All V•I Chip PRMs, BCMs, and VTMs Proposed Change: The package size will increase by 0.020” / 0.50mm in the Y-dimension (long dimension) and by 0.012” / 0.30mm in the Z-dimension (height). No change to pcb pads location or spacing is required. Dimensions are in mm in. Customer impact: This change may affect adjacent component spacing and clearance holes (on the PCB) used for heat sink push pins or other mechanical fastening systems. Heat sinks and push pins are available from Vicor which accommodate the new package dimensions. Automated assembly / test equipment used to place and / or test V•I Chip products on the PCB (with critical tolerances) should be considered. Effective date of change: August 28, 2006; units manufactured with date code 0635 and later (i.e. 0636, 0637) will incorporate this change.
