Applications
Conventional
Zener and low-capacitance diodes are often used as protection elements in
a variety of circuits.
In recent years with the increased miniaturizaton and sophistication of
electronic devices comes a need for higher performance protection elements
and TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression).
However, although transient voltage and current generated in circuits are
absorbed by the TVS, even lower clamping voltage is required to further
reduce the load placed on protection countermeasures.
