The Si114x-A10-GMR devices are being replaced by the Si114x-A11-GMR products. Silicon Labs recommends new designs use the A11 devices. The silicon, package, footprint, and pin out remain unchanged for the A11 devices. Reason for Change: The Si114x-A11-GMR extends the usable range of the internal ADC of the device through extended operation of the internal ADC over-range flag. Impact on Form, Fit, Function, Quality, Reliability: The Si114x-A11-GMR products is a pin compatible replacement for the Si114x-A10-GMR devices. There are no form, fit, quality, and reliability impact; however, customers utilizing threshold register settings may be impacted. Threshold registers ALS_LOW_TH, ALS_HI_TH, PS1_TH, PS2_TH and PS3_TH were changed from compressed 8-bit format to uncompressed 16-bit format for improved resolution. Refer to product data sheet revision 1.2 or later for details.
