ADVANCE INFORMATION DS3664-1·2 SP8630 600MHz4 410 The SP8630 is an asynchronous emitter coupled logic divider which provides an ECLlll/10K compatible output when used with an external pulldown resistor. It requires an AC coupled input of 600mV p-p. The clock input (pin 10) should be capacitively coupled to the signal source. The input signal path is completed by connecting a capacitor from the internal bias decoupling, pin 12, to ground. 2. The circuit will operate down to DC but slew rate must be better than 100V/µs. 3. The output is compatible with ECLll. There is an internal load of 3kΩ at the output. The output can be interfaced to ECLlll/10K by the addition of 1·5kΩ to the output to increase the output voltage swing. 4. Input impedance is a function of frequency, see Fig. 4. 5. All components should be suitable for the frequency in use. 1n 14 10 INPUT FROM GENERATOR 33 33 4 DUT 1n 450 OUTPUT TO SAMPLING SCOPE 12 TO SAMPLING SCOPE 1n 13 7 20 1n VEE 1n Fig. 5 Test circuit 14 1n 10 INPUT DIVIDE BY 10 400 4 ECL OUTPUT 15k 12 3k BIAS 1n 1·5k 7 25·2V 1n Fig. 6 Typical application showing interfacing 3 SP8630 PACKAGE DETAILS Dimensions are shown thus: mm (in). 1 PIN 1 REF NOTCH 5·59/7·87 (0·220/0·310) 7·62 (0·3) NOM CTRS 14 1·14/1·65 (0·045/0·065) 0·20/0·36 (0·008/0·014) 20·32 (0·800) MAX SEATING PLANE 5·08/(0·20) MAX 0·36/0·58 (0·014/0·23) 0·51 (0·02) 3·18/4·06 MIN (0·125/0·160) 14 LEADS AT 2·54 (0·10) NOM.
