User’s Guide Operation Big Digit Window Thermometer Attention: The LCD display is delicate. When removing the thermometer from a window pull only with the plastic housing. Do not pull with or bend the display. Installation 1. Clean the outside of the window where the thermometer is going to be installed. Wipe until the surface is dry. 2. Pull off the protection foil on the display 3. Peel back the two red adhesive cover strips located at the top of each end of the thermometer 4. Press the thermometer against the clean outside window for 15 to 30 seconds to affix Model 401016 and 401017 Measuring range: -13°F ~ +158°F Mode + Max/Min Temperature The Maximum and Minimum temperature is displayed above and below the main temperature display. These displays are updated each time a new high or low temperature is measured. The MAX and MIN displays are automatically reset every 24 hours. The maximum temperature is reset at 8:00 AM and minimum temperature at 8:00 PM (20:00). Therefore, the current time must be set for the Max/Min displays to work properly Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of Extech’s Big Digit Window Thermometer. Battery Replacement Remove the thermometer from the holder. Remove the Phillips screw to access the battery compartment. Replace the 1.5V ‘AAA’ battery and secure the battery cover.
