Rare Earth Free Ferrite Magnet FB9RF Series
CEATEC2013-04a
World-leading performance as rare earth-free ferrite magnet
High-performance ferrite magnets are commonly produced by adding rare earth materials, but in view of the rapid
price rises in this area, the demand for realizing a rare earth free product is strong. In response, TDK has developed
the FB9RF series which provides magnetic characteristics rivaling the high-performance ferrite magnet FB9 series.
Features
Major Applications
• Magnetic characteristics approaching FB9 series
• Various types of electric motors for automotive use
• Various types of electric motors for home appliances
• Motors for industrial equipment and power tools
without using rare metals such as lanthanum or cobalt
(coercivity temperature coefficient is equal to FB6 series)
• Stable production possible, unaffected by rising rare earth prices
