CEATEC2013-04a e A4 (210mm×297mm) Rare Earth Free Ferrite Magnet FB9RF Series CEATEC2013-04a World-leading performance as rare earth-free ferrite magnet High-performance ferrite magnets are commonly produced by adding rare earth materials, but in view of the rapid price rises in this area, the demand for realizing a rare earth free product is strong. In response, TDK has developed the FB9RF series which provides magnetic characteristics rivaling the high-performance ferrite magnet FB9 series. Features Major Applications • Magnetic characteristics approaching FB9 series • Various types of electric motors for automotive use • Various types of electric motors for home appliances • Motors for industrial equipment and power tools without using rare metals such as lanthanum or cobalt (coercivity temperature coefficient is equal to FB6 series) • Stable production possible, unaffected by rising rare earth prices Product Specifications FB9BF Br HcB HcJ mT 435 ± 10 kG 4.35± 0.1 kA/m 315 ±12 kOe 3.96 ± 0.15 kA/m 340 ± 12 kOe 4.27 ± 0.15 kJ/m 36.3 ± 1.6 MGOe 4.56± 0.20 3 (BH) max ● FB9HF HcB HcJ (BH) max mT 405 ± 10 kG 4.05± 0.1 kA/m 310 ±12 kOe 3.90 ± 0.15 kA/m 400 ± 12 kOe 5.03 ± 0.15 kJ/m3 31.7 ± 1.6 MGOe 3.99± 0.20 FB9B Average Grain Size : 1.3 μm -60℃ 20℃ 400 60℃ 100℃ -B/H=0.5 300 200 (BH)max [kJ/m3] 50 40 30 20 10 100 500 400 300 200 [kA/m] 100 0 -B/H=2.0 0 500 -60℃ -B/H=-1.0 -20℃ 20℃ 400 60℃ 100℃ 300 -B/H=0.5 200 (BH)max [kJ/m3] 100 50 40 30 20 10 500 FB9BF Average Grain Size : 0.8 μm 500 -20℃ FB9HF Magnetic properties Br -B/H=2.0 -B/H=-1.0 [mT] Magnetic properties 500 480 460 [mT] FB9BF Residual flux density: Br (mT) ● 400 300 200 [kA/m] 100 0 0 T DK F errite Magnet F B s eries FB9NF Br:445mT Hcj:280kA/m FB9BF Br:435mT Hcj:340kA/m NS1 series 420 FB9 series 400 FB9RF series FB9HF Br:410mT Hcj:400kA/m FB5 series 380 340 200 FB12E Br:430mT Hcj:480kA/m FB12 series 440 360 FB15 Br:500mT Hcj:400kA/m FB6 series FB3 series 250 300 350 400 Coercive force HcJ (kA/m) 450 500
