It is especially suitable for use in highly demanding systems that require reliability and robust connections. It is well suited for telecommunications and data-transmission devices. With 4 different heights of male connectors and 2 different heights of female connectors, the MiniMez connector system provides stacking heights from 6.5 mm to 20 mm in steps of 2mm. The uniquely designed blindmate features with fully shrouded male connectors and robust thick side walls ensure polarized blindmating without worry of housing wall breakage. the popular configuration of PCB male connector matching with IDC female connector for flat ribbon cable. Customer can choose the space saving Non-Blindmate without ejector solution or the secure Blindmate with ejector solution. The PCB footprint of both versions is identical allowing the ultimate flexibility in design changes. The MiniMez connectors have black insulator housings for fast and reliable visual recognition. The connectors are delivered in tube packaging. Tape-and-reel packaging with pick and place cap for fully automatic SMT assembly is also available. Features The 2 row MiniMez connectors could be used in a wide application temperature range (-55 °C to +125 °C). Engineer can select between two termination options depending on the application: SMT for maximum PCB real estate usage or DIP solder for extra mechanical strain relief. SMT version female connector with 12.6 mm height comes with SMT bracket, whereas PCB locking clip option is available for others, to enhance PCB retention force. In addition, SMT termination coplanarity is 100% guaranteed, less than 0.15 mm on all contacts.
