The system also provides support for new devices in the AT17 series Configurator prior to Third Party Programmer support being available. This is a truly portable solution that allows engineers to work from their lab bench or office. Rev. 0642G–CNFG–3/09 1 Figure 1. NC stands for no connection. The ATDH2200E programming board has a 10 pin header (0.1" spacing) to facilitate in-system programming (Figure 2) of the AT17 parts. The control signals generated by the software are fed to the header, as well as to socket U3 on the board. By placing a similar socket on the target system and connecting the programming board to that target system, the programming algorithms written by Atmel can be used to program an AT17 device in-system. 2 ATDH2200E 0642G–CNFG–3/09 ATDH2200E Related Documents Adapters Available for the ATDH2200E • ATDH2200E Programming Kit User Guide • AT17 Series datasheet • Programming Specification for Atmel’s FPGA Configuration memories • In-System Programming Cascaded Configurators • AT17A Series datasheet • ATDH2222 – 20-lead PLCC adapter (supplied with kit) • ATDH2221 – 20-lead SOIC adapter • ATDH2223 – 8-lead SOIC adapter • ATDH2224 – 44-lead TQFP • ATDH2226 – 32-lead TQFP • ATDH2227 – 44-lead PLCC (non-A parts only) • ATDH2227A – 44-lead PLCC (A parts only) • ATDH2228 – 8-lead LAP 3 0642G–CNFG–3/09 4 A B C D 1 2 3 4 AT17LVxx DATA VCC CLK SER_EN* RESET/OE* CEO*/A2 CE* GND U3 8 7 6 5 5 4 SEREN 4 1Y1 1Y2 1Y3 1Y4 2Y1 2Y2 2Y3 2Y4 VCC GND 18 16 14 12 9 7 5 3 20 10 HARRISCD74LPT244 1A1 1A2 1A3 1A4 2A1 2A2 2A3 2A4 1G 2G U1 2 C3 0.1uF 1 PROGRAM Tri-State BiDir Data R4 4.7K VCC 2 4 6 8 11 SELECT_IN 13 INIT 15 CLKIN 17 D0 1 19 Pin 6 is A2 when in programming mode DATA CLK RESET_OE CE 5 DATA R5 4.7K .1uF 3 VCC C4 VCC ACK RESET_OE CE VCC JP2 3 VERIFY 3 CLK Date: Size A Title VCC DB25 1 14 2 15 3 16 4 17 5 18 6 19 7 20 8 21 9 22 10 23 11 24 12 25 13 Sheet 2 1 of STROBE AUTO_FEED D0 DATA_IN D1 INIT D2 SELECT_IN D3 GND D4 GND D5 GND D6 GND CLKIN GND ACK GND BUSY GND PE GND SELECT ATDH2200 (CHW 5450) Thursday, March 25, 2004 2 P1 1 FPGA CONFIGUATOR / PROGRAMMER Document Number IN-CIRCUIT PROGRAMING Pin 10 activates "SEREN*" on targey board Pin 9 is the polarizing pin (cut off) U2 2 DATA 1 CE DATA CE* CLK RESET_OE 3 4 CLK RESET/OE* 5 6 NC 8 7 NC GND VCC 9 10 NC GND 2 2 Rev 15 A B C D Schematics Programming Connections ATDH2200E 0642G–CNFG–3/09 4 C2 0.01uF IN U9 LM317T VI 3 OUT VO 1 JP1 3 + C1 100uF 2 R3 3.3K R2 2.4K Title AT17LV(A) AT17F(A)/AT17N REMOVE FOR ISP 3 LED D2 FPGA CONFIGUATOR / PROGRAMMER R1 330ohms of 2 Rev 15 C D Date: Size A 2 Tuesday, March 23, 2004 Sheet Document Number ATDH2200 (CHW 5450) 1 1 A 3 1 U7 LM7805AT 1 A POWER S1 VCC 2 B 5 IN4001 Layout U2 & U9 for TO-220 pkgs R5= 3.3k for 3.3 volts 3 2 1 D1 3 2 B C 9VDC 500mA DC IN J1 4 GND 2 ADJ 0642G–CNFG–3/09 1 D 5 ATDH2200E Power Supply Generation 5 Headquarters International Atmel Corporation 2325 Orchard Parkway San Jose, CA 95131 USA Tel: 1(408) 441-0311 Fax: 1(408) 487-2600 Atmel Asia Unit 1-5 & 16, 19/F BEA Tower, Millennium City 5 418 Kwun Tong Road Kwun Tong, Kowloon Hong Kong Tel: (852) 2245-6100 Fax: (852) 2722-1369 Atmel Europe Le Krebs 8, Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud BP 309 78054 Saint-Quentin-enYvelines Cedex France Tel: (33) 1-30-60-70-00 Fax: (33) 1-30-60-71-11 Atmel Japan 9F, Tonetsu Shinkawa Bldg. 1-24-8 Shinkawa Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0033 Japan Tel: (81) 3-3523-3551 Fax: (81) 3-3523-7581 Technical Support [email protected] Sales Contact www.atmel.com/contacts Product Contact Web Site www.atmel.com Literature Requests www.atmel.com/literature Disclaimer: The information in this document is provided in connection with Atmel products.
