5.0V CMOS Clock oscillators above 70MHz were discontinued. The ICs needed to realize these devices are not being updated to be made in the current IC manufacturing processes due to decreasing demand. Therefore these higher frequency 5.0V oscillators can no longer be supported. SM77xxDY P11xx-3SD SQ33xxD November 2009 For many designs, 3.3V CMOS devices will drive 5.0V circuits correctly. • In the case of CMOS inputs this will have reduced noise margins. • In the case of TTL the logic levels would exceed the TTL 2.4V logic ‘1' minimum level. 3.3V high frequency parts are readily available.
