Specifications change notice for small geared motors with
electromagnetic brake.
Due to production discontinuance of present electromagnetic brake, we would like to inform
you about specification change as below.

Models:

Compact geared motors with brake
Single-phase motor with electromagnetic brake...
M □ RX ** GB4 △ △, M □ RZ ** GB4 △ △

Three-phase motors with electromagnetic brake...
M □ MX ** GB4 △ △, M □ MZ ** GB4 △ △

Single-phase motors with electromagnetic brake (variable speed type)...
M □ RX ** GBV4 △ △
Part numbers with symbol “B” at 7th or 8th digit, and several overseas models ending with symbol
"A” are subject to this change.

Reason of change:
Because current electromagnetic brake will be discontinued, we will switch to alternative
models of the same manufacturer.

Contents of change:
1) Brake input - There are models with increase range from 1W to 4W
Brake current - There are models with change range from “-0.01A” to “+0.01A”
Motor Mass - There are models with increase range from 0.1kg to 0.4kg.

Brake Characteristics: There is no change (Static friction torque, stopping time).

There is no change in motor characteristics.
III.
Temperature of the brakes will be less than or equal to our current products.

Change period:
New brakes will be applied gradually starting from October 2011 production.
