SEMS April, 2012 Specialty Engineering and Manufacturing Services (SEMS) The SEMS operation is announcing a change to the standard and custom hybrid modules listed below. The change is the result of an end of life decision by our vendor, Alpha®, to discontinue one of its paste products. The change has no impact on form, fit or function to the end products. The alloy used in the discontinued product and its replacement are identical. Our processes remain the same. • The material being discontinued is Alpha® WS619; Solder alloy is SAC405 (95.5%Sn/4.0%Ag/0.5%Cu), SAC305 (96.5%/Sn 3.0%Ag 0.5%Cu), with halide free flux. • The new material is Alpha® WS820; Solder alloy is SAC405 (95.5%Sn/4.0%Ag/0.5%Cu), SAC305 (96.5%/Sn 3.0%Ag 0.5%Cu), with halide free flux. This will be a running change; as the obsoleted material is consumed we will begin production with the new material. As noted, there will be no variation in the solder alloy.
