LVM is supported on data drives configured as RAID1 or RAID1+0. However, configuring RAID with LVM logical volumes is not supported. Be sure to place /usr partition in the /(root) partition because boot process would be complex if located in any other partition. When configuring two sets of a SAS controller, a SAS cable and a backup device, two backup devices are recognized separately by the OS.
