Abstract
The goal of this document is to outline the steps by which the WebSphere Portal System
Verification Test (SVT) team tested WebSphere Portal 8.0 Active Site Analytics (ASA)
functionality. This document will also document the steps in setting up the configuration as
well as the test procedure performed in the environment.
Content Introduction
The environment included a horizontal Portal cluster. The Portal cluster consisted of a first
node and one additional node. The Portal cluster was configured to a remote database
and an ITDS LDAP server. IBM Coremetrics was configured as analytics provider. The
software versions used in this test environment are as follows:
•
WebSphere Portal 8.0
•
WebSphere Application Server 8.0.0.3
•
DB2 9.7.0.1
•
IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.3 (ITDS)
•
IBM HTTP Server 8.0

The following test was conducted using HAT-J tool, to simulate the multiple users
performing their various tasks over specific periods of time.
100 concurrent users logging into WebSphere Portal over a 120 hour time span
performing the following actions:
•
Verifying that ASA specific microformats and ASA aggregator are available
•
Verifying Analytic Tags
•
Verifying ASA Overlay Reports
