Before the package is opened. The LEDs should be stored at 30°C or less and 85%RH or less after being shipped from Everlight and the storage life limits are 1 year. The LEDs can be stored up to 3 years If in a sealed container with a nitrogen atmosphere and moisture absorbent material. After opening the package: The LED's floor life is 1 year under 30℃ or less and 60%RH or less. The LED should be soldered with 168hrs (7days) after opening the package. If unused LEDs remain, it should be stored in moisture proof packages. If the moisture absorbent material (silica gel) has faded away or the LEDs have exceeded the storage time, baking treatment should be performed using the following conditions. Baking treatment: 60±5℃ for 24 hours. Thermal Management Recommended to operate in accordance with the following conditions, increased LED life. For maintaining the high flux output and achieving maximum reliability, EHP-C19 flashlight series LEDs should be mounted on a metal core printed circuit board (MCPCB) or other kinds of heat sink with proper thermal connection to dissipate approximately 1W of thermal energy at 350mA operation. Sufficient thermal management must be implemented. Please refer to the graph “Forward Current Derating Curve“ on Page 20. The soldering temperature must be kept under 60℃ at the driving current 350mA.Otherwise, the junction temperature of die may exceed over the limit at high current driving conditions and the LEDs’ lifetime may be decrease dramatically.
