All orders, including LTB orders, for the Si100x-C-GM and Si101x-A-GM parts must be placed by the Last Order Date (30 September 2014) and must have a customer requested delivery date prior to (30 March 2015). Any orders with a customer requested delivery date between the Last Order Date, (30 September 2014) and Last Ship Date (30 March 2015) will be non-cancellable and non-returnable. Orders for the Si100x-C-GM and Si101x-A-GM with a customer requested delivery date beyond the Last Ship Date of 30 March 2015 will not be accepted. Newer revisions of the ICs are available and are described in PCN 1303251 and PCN 1303252 that were released on 25 March 2013. Please work with your local Sales Representative on a transition plan from the Si100x-C-GM to the Revision Si100x-E-GM2 and the Revision Si101x-A-GM to Revision Si101x-C-GM2. The updated datasheet and a list of Sales Representatives are available at www.silabs.com If you have questions about this EOL, please contact your Silicon Labs sales representative. A list of Silicon Labs sales representatives is available at www.silabs.com. Reason for Change: The No Ball Array (NBA) package that is used with the Si100x-C-GM and Si101x-A-GM is being discontinued by our vendor and will no longer be available. The Si100x-E-GM2 and Si101x-C-GM2 use a pin compatible LGA package. Impact on Form, Fit, Function, Quality, Reliability: The replacements for the Si100x and Si101x improved the PCB solderability of the device. The new Land Grid Array (LGA) package on these devices does not change the pin ordering or orientation, but does require a change to the PCB landing pattern and soldering stencil. The Si100x data sheet version 1.3 and Si101x data sheet version 1.2 include updates to the LGA-42 package information to reflect the ground pad dimensions.
