CY8CKIT-015 PSOC® 1 POWER SUPERVISION KIT QUICK START GUIDE Prerequisites for CY8CKIT-015 CY8CKIT-001 CY8CKIT-035 CY8CKIT-035 Board CY8CKIT-001 Board with CY8C28 Family Processor Module USB Cable Connecting Wires MiniProg3 Power Adapter 1 2 Download the CY8CKIT-015 Kit Setup executable file from http://www.cypress.com/go/ CY8CKIT-015. If you already have PSoC Designer and PSoC Programmer installed, download CY8CKIT-015 Kit Only. Run the executable file to start the installation process. Set VDD DIG and VDD ANLG to 5 V using SW3, J7, and J6 on the CY8CKIT-001. During the installation process, continue with the hardware setup. Attach the LCD included with the PSoC DVK and set the LCD power jumper (J12) to ON. CY8CKIT-015 PSOC® 1 POWER SUPERVISION KIT QUICK START GUIDE 3 4 Connect SW1 to P1[7] and SW2 to P2[7] on the CY8CKIT-001. On the CY8CKIT-035, set jumpers as follows: Set J5 in 2-3 position and populate J6, J7, J8, J9, J10, J11, J12, and J13. Plug the CY8C28 family processor module into CY8CKIT-001. 5 6 Connect the MiniProg3 to the CY8C28 family processor module. After programming, remove the MiniProg3 and insert the CY8CKIT-035 into Port A of the CY8CKIT-001; power the CY8CKIT-001. Launch PSoC Programmer; load CY8CKIT_015_Example_Project.hex, located at C:\Program Files\Cypress\PSoC 1 Power Supervision Kit\1.0\Firmware\Hex_File. In PSoC Programmer, use the following settings: Programming Mode: Power Cycle, Auto Detection: ON, Protocol: ISSP, Voltage: 5.0. The LCD displays four rail voltages in mV. Pressing SW1 displays four rail currents in 0.1 mA. A long press on SW1 displays the Trim menu; use SW2 to set the trim percentage of rails.
