Source optical energy is delivered over single mode fiber to drive electronics over long distances. Reliable and low cost laser diodes are readily available as sources. Total electrical isolation, and compatibility of operation in high electrical field or noisy electrical environments are key capabilities of the PPC-9LW. Remote power for sensors, diagnostic, or monitoring equipment are typical applications. Designed to convert 1300 – 1550 nm light into electrical power up to 4 V, with output power from a few mW to 100 mW, the PPC-9LW is available with ST or FC connectors.
