Three differential channels are used for data (video signals for DVI or audio/video signals for HDMI), and one differential channel is used for Clock for decoding the TMDS signals at the outputs. Pericom Semiconductor’s PI3HDMI series of switch circuits are targeted for high-resolution video networks that are based on DVI/ HDMI standards, and TMDS signal processing. The PI3HDMI412-B is a 8- to 4-Channel Mux/DeMux Switch. The device multiplexes differential signals to one of two corresponding outputs. The switch is bidirectional and offers little or no attenuation of the high-speed signals at the outputs. It is designed for low bit-to-bit skew and high channel-to-channel noise isolation. Because of its passive bidirectional feature, this switch can be used either at the video drivers side or at the receiver side. For PC graphics applications, the device sits at the drivers side to switch between multiple display units such as PC LCD monitor, projector, TV, etc. For consumer video applications, the device sits at the receiver end to switch between the source components such as DVD, D-VHS, STB, etc. Pin Configuration Block Diagram V DD 1 48 0B1 A0 2 47 1B1 GND 3 46 GND 0B2 A1 4 45 0B2 1B2 GND 5 44 1B2 V DD 6 43 GND GND 7 42 2B1 A2 8 41 3B1 GND 9 40 GND A3 10 2B2 GND 11 39 38 V DD 12 37 GND A0 0B1 A1 1B1 A2 2B1 A3 3B1 2B2 3B2 3B2 A4 4B1 A5 5B1 GND 13 36 V DD 4B2 NC 14 35 4B1 5B2 A4 15 34 5B1 GND 16 33 GND A5 17 32 4B2 A6 6B1 A7 7B1 GND 18 31 V DD 5B2 6B2 19 30 GND GND 20 29 A6 6B1 21 28 GND 7B1 22 27 A7 GND 23 24 26 6B2 7B2 SEL SEL Note: 1.
