It is based on the Cambridge Silicon Radio BC01b chip, which interfaces to a UART running at 921,600 baud, allowing communications at the full Bluetooth data rates. The antenna for the board is built into the PCB. This card is part of a wide range of Bluetooth products available from Brain Boxes including Type I Compact Flash, USB and RS232. This is set in software and will be upgradeable*. • This product has on board flash, making it user upgradeable to the latest version of the Bluetooth specification. * As an indication (although these results may differ greatly depending on location), we have tested 2 cards talking to each other at distances of 210metres in line of site and over 35metres in a standard office environment through several walls.
