Inductors
Typical Dimmer Circuits for Single &
Multi-Lamp Loads
I= Load current
Vp= Primary side of transformer T-1
TR= Time taken for current to rise from 10% to 90% of its peak value
Vs= Secondary (Low voltage side) of transformer T-1
This factor and the rate of the current rise (slew rate) * determine the amount of
noise reduction in the lamp
VL= Voltage seen at the load (Lamps)
Vd= Voltage drop due to choke. (See circuits 1 and 2)
L1.L2.L3.L4, etc. + Debuzzing chokes. May or may not be the same type. **
Tr= Approximate temperature rise (convection cooled)
L= Low level inductance Vd=Voltage drop due to choke (Vd= Vs-VL)
*Foot mounting may be cut iff at factory or in the field and the center mounting
hole he used only.
