The CCM microprocessor-controlled automatic cutter cuts to length ribbon cables, round cables, insulating conduits and tubes. Its high repeat accuracy is achieved using a precision AC servodrive. The dimensional accuracy can, for particular requirements, be optimised by means of length correction. Using a special subprogram, it is simplicity itself for customers to adapt the program interface to their own company-specific requirements. The pressure on the cable from the drive can be adjusted by the built-in pressure regulator that controls the pneumatic opening. The contacts are fed automatically via an oscillating c onveyor set-up. Conductors and contacts in the 0.14 - 4.0 mm range (AWG 26-14) can be crimped normally with a 4/8 indent crimp shape, in compliance with MIL C-22520/1-01.
