They have a built-in diode in their output circuit. It might be the case if the application is for increased power (2 x 10A units are installed in parallel to supply a higher than 10A load for example). The failure of a single power supply will make the second power supply go into overcurrent protection since it cannot supply the entire load > 10A. For critical redundancy applications, our example changes to 2 x 10A units installed in parallel to supply a maximum 10A load. Even with built-in diodes, there is no guarantee that one of the power supplies would not fail in short circuit after the internal output diode.
