RS1236 • Designed for 312.0 MHz Transmitters in the USA and Canada • 0° Nominal Insertion Phase at Resonance • Rugged, Hermetic, Low Profile TO-39 Case 312.0 MHz SAW Resonator The RS1236 is a 2-port, surface acoustic wave resonator (SAWR). It provides reliable, fundamental mode, quartz frequency stabilization of fixed frequency transmitters operating at 312 MHz. This SAWR is designed for AM transmitters in wireless security and remote-control applications operating under FCC Part 15 in the USA and RSS-210 in Canada. (Typically, fOSCILLATOR < f c ) 2. Derived mathematically from one or more of the following directly measured parameters: f c , IL, 3 dB bandwidth, f c vs. Tc , and Co . 3. Turnover temperature, To , is the temperature of maximum (or turnover) frequency, fo. The nominal frequency at any case temperature, Tc , may be calculated from: f = fo [ 1 - FTC ( To - Tc )2 ]. (Note that oscillator To is typically 20°C less than specified resonator To .) 4. Frequency aging is the change in fc with time and is specified at +65°C or less. Aging may exceed the specification for prolonged temperatures above +65°C. Typically, aging is greatest the first year after manufacture, decreasing in subsequent years. 5. This equivalent RLC model approximates resonator performance near the resonant frequency and is provided for reference only. C o is the measured static (nonmotional) capacitance between pin 1 and ground or pin 2 and ground and includes case parasitic capacitance. 6.
