AOZ8202 One-line Bi-directional TVS Diode General Description Features The AOZ8202 is a one-line bi-directional transient voltage suppressor diode designed to protect voltage sensitive electronics from high transient conditions and ESD. z ESD protection for high-speed data lines: – Exceeds: IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) ±30kV (air), ±30kV (contact) – Human Body Model (HBM) ±30kV – IEC 61000-4-5 (Lightning) 15A (8/20µs) This device incorporates two TVS diodes in a small SOT-23 package. It may be used to meet the ESD immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-2, Level 4 (±15kV air, ±8kV contact discharge) and the IEC61000-4-5 (lightning) requirement.. z Small package saves board space z IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) ±40A z Low insertion loss The AOZ8202 comes in an RoHS compliant SOT-23 package and is rated over a -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range. The small SOT-23 package makes it ideal for applications where PCB space is a premium. The small size and high ESD protection makes it ideal for protecting voltage sensitive electronics from high transient conditions and ESD. z Low clamping voltage z Low operating voltages: 12.0V Applications z Portable handheld devices z Keypads, data lines, buttons z Notebook computers z Digital Cameras z Portable GPS z MP3 players Typical Application Pin Configuration 12V 1 1 3 3 2 2 SOT-23 (Top View) Bidirection Protection of One Line Rev. 1.0 March 2010 www.aosmd.com Page 1 of 7 AOZ8202 Ordering Information Part Number Ambient Temperature Range Package Environmental AOZ8202CI-12 -40°C to +85°C SOT-23A Green Product AOS Green Products use reduced levels of Halogens, and are also RoHS compliant.
