assuredcommunications® RF-7800V-HH Handheld VHF Radio High-Speed Data Direct Connection to Tactical Peripherals Software-Defined With the RF-7800V VHF Combat Net Radio (CNR), your forces get a solution that gives them the ability to communicate more information, with greater speed and detail – crucial to achieving information superiority on the battlefield. Meanwhile, commanders get access to advanced real-time situational information that enables them to make faster, more informed decisions. The RF-7800V VHF CNR delivers performance and flexibility unlike any other VHF CNR – handheld or manpack – in a platform that’s highly portable and easy to use. The RF-7800V VHF CNR provides continuous coverage in the 30 to 108 MHz frequency band with up to 10 watts of output power and is interoperable with the Harris Falcon II® family of HF, VHF and Multiband radios including the RF-5800V-HH, RF-5800H-MP, RF-5800M-HH, and RF-5800M-MP, as well as the Falcon III® RF-7800M-MP Multiband Networking Radio. Built for battlefield voice and data networking, the RF-7800V VHF CNR provides high-speed data connectivity up to 192 Kbps, making it the fastest VHF combat net radio available. Integrated Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485, and RNDIS connections allow peripherals, such as digital cameras and USB storage devices, to be plugged directly into the radio for uploading data. Additionally, Harris’ embedded Tac Chat IP application provides an intuitive interface for sending multi-media messages and situation awareness data over the air. Combined, these features make field-based dissemination of information, such as images and large data files a reality, while eliminating the cost and complexity of in-field data terminals such as PDAs and PCs. The RF-7800V is designed to support BMS/C4ISR applications using integrated GPS and Harris’ TNW waveform. This TDMA based waveform enables up to 64 users on a net to communicate time critical situational awareness data, while nets containing up to 48 users have the added benefit of simultaneous voice and data. The RF-7800V-HH CNR introduces Free Channel Search as part of QL3. When enabled the radio adapts to changing VHF spectrum environments by intelligently selecting an optimal frequency. Harris’ easy-to-use Quicklook 1A and Quicklook 2 ECCM waveforms protect voice and data from hostile interference. Built-in transmission and communications security is provided by Harris Corporation’s embedded Citadel® II cryptographic technology, which provides 256-bit military grade and AES encryption, options for voice and data transmissions. Unique encryption algorithms, customer modified algorithms and customer-defined keys are also available. Combining next generation VHF CNR functionality and advanced capabilities for the network-centric battlefield, the RF-7800V-HH is an information tool for today’s and tomorrow’s warfighter. “X” = Available color of radio and amplifier: 1 = Green ■ 2 = Black ■ 3 = Tan ■ Specifications for the RF-7800V-HH General Features Frequency Range 30-108 MHz ECCM Quicklook 1A, Quicklook 2, Quicklook 3 Net Presets 25 total / 13 Selectable from switch Data Communications RF Input/Output Impedence Up to 64 kbps IP and DTE Up to 192 kbps IP* 50 Ohms TNW Waveform* Up to 48 users with voice/data Up to 64 users with data RF-7800V-HH001 Standard FM Analog Voice FSK 2.4 kbps MELP Voice FSK 16 kbps CVSD Voice FSK/TCM up to 64k IP and DTE Data Bandwidth 25 kHz 75 kHz* COMSEC Citadel® I & II and AES 128 & 256 GPS 12-Channel Internal Data Interface USB 2.0, Sync, Async, Ethernet and RNDIS RF-7800V-SW002 Advanced FSK/TCM up to 192 kbps IP Data TNW Waveform 10W Power Mode RF-7800V-SW003 Advanced + Telephony Voice over IP(VOIP) and SIP Telephony and RF-6010 Basestation Dimensions 9.71H x 2.94W x 2.43D in.
