SENSITRON – Your Power Solution Provider October 24th, 2009 FROM: SENSITRON SEMICONDUCTOR 221 West Industry Court Deer Park NY 11729 Telephone (631) 586‐7600, Fax (631)242‐9798 TO: SENSITRON’S SEN‐5282 CUSTOMERS RE: SEN‐5282 PRODUCT FOR NEW DESIGNS Sensitron will release its SCP‐5282‐3 (SEN‐5282‐3), transient suppression product, for new designs effective November 1st, 2009. The SEN‐5282‐2 model is no longer recommended for new designs, but will continue to be available and supported for older designs which have qualified the SEN‐5282‐2. The SEN‐5282‐3 model offers improved transient suppression performance being capable of handling 135A pulse for 130 milliseconds, and is 100% tested for 5 pulses of 110A for 50 milliseconds equally spaced within a total period of one second. There is a mechanical difference between the SCP‐5282‐3 and the SEN‐5282‐2 where as the SCP‐5282‐3 is wider as shown in the table below. All other dimensions remain the same. A copy of the SCP‐5282‐3 data sheet is attached. Model Length SCP‐5282‐2 2.250 SEN‐5282‐3 2.250 Width 1.240 2.020 Height 0.610 0.610 The SCP‐5282‐3 is part of Sensitron’s continuous product improvement program to enable our customers in meeting the most stringent system requirements with improved product performance and reliability.
