Guide to using ZMDI CAD Component Models Expedite Your Designs with ZMDI’s On-Line Tools ZMDI provides hardware-design support tools on our web site for expediting your designs using our products. Collaborating with Altium, Ltd, we have developed board-level libraries that can be downloaded from our website. We offer these libraries for our product lines for Sensor Signal Conditioner ICs, Power Management ICs, LED Driver ICs, AS Interface ICs, and IO-Link Interface ICs. These libraries contain our products’ symbols and footprints used in schematics and printed circuit board designs (both 2D and 3D). Each component has a short description, a link to the datasheet on ZMDI’s product webpage, and package information as well as some other useful parameters including bills of materials. Reference designs and board templates can be distributed via this service. Additional information about the supply chain, pricing, and current availability is also available, enabling designers to create BOMs and calculate cost. When it comes to design prototyping or mass production, output files can be configured and generated within minutes with all the necessary information and other helpful documents. To configure the Altium Vault Explorer, go to the DXP tab and click on Vault Explorer. To connect to the vault, simply access the Data Management – Vaults page of the Preferences dialog, and click the Add Altium Content Vault button. If you have a licensed instance of Altium Designer and a valid Altium subscription, a connection to the vault will be made instantly. The unzipped integrated library package (*.IntLib) is ready for use by the Altium CAD software. For different file formats, use the import function of the available CAD tool or third party software if the CAD tool does not support importing. 3. Install the library in the Altium Designer software and browse to the component that is needed. Then simply drag and drop the component into your design.
