features
description
ÿ Supply voltage range 8V to 16V(40V)
This IC is designed to realise an uninteruptable power supply for
ÿ Very high energy storage
automotive applications such as airbags or any critical supply. The
ÿ High voltage operation possible
buffer time can be settled with using appropriate output capa-
ÿ DC-DC transformer applications
citors and output voltage. With a unique regulation scheme in-
ÿ Permanent energy monitoring and restoration
cluding pulse-by-pulse current limitation and inrush current limi-
ÿ Very fast energy recovery
tation, the converter offers a compact and efficient solution for
ÿ Internal high current driver for external MOSFET’s
automotive UPS. Using the bulk diodes of the power MOSFETS
ÿ Dual current mode control schemes with
simplifies the circuit. Security management and monitoring out-
put completes the chip. All sequences necessary to ensure proper
duty cycle limitation
ÿ Under voltage lockout and thermal shutdown
charging and discharging are implemented. The threshold levels
ÿ Very low shutdown current of 150µA
are optimized for automotive applications.
ÿ – 40ºC to + 85ºC operating temperature
