It allows 2 different voltage potential to be used within the same Terminal Block. One side of the CX2.5/4P can be shorted with the standard JX2.5 series jumpers. CX2.5/4(E)D1 is a specially designed 4 connection spring Terminal Block. It has a built in Diode (1N4007) for reverse polarity protection and only allows current to flow in one direction.
