BCM® High Voltage Bus Converter Module Isolated, Fixed Ratio Bus Converter Family For use in high end computing systems, industrial systems, Telcom/datacom systems, ® Description BCM peak efficiencies can exceed 98% and power densities can reach up to 2,750 W/in3, allowing modern power system designs to be both small and highly efficient. Moreover, by leveraging high frequency Zero-Voltage Switching (ZVS) and Zero-Current Switching (ZCS) in a proprietary topology, BCMs are able to deliver this efficiency and power density with extremely low noise and fast transient response. Finally, the BCM’s low AC impedance, beyond the bandwidth of most downstream regulators, enables bulk capacitance, normally located at the input of a regulator, to be placed at the high voltage input to the BCM. This reduces the bulk capacitance requirement and offers savings of board area and system cost.
