Product Brief 600 A / 9.5 kV Thyristor For medium-voltage soft starters, power supplies and general-purpose drives The 9.5 kV thyristor silcon controlled rectifiers (SCRs) disc has been developed and designed for the special requirements of medium-voltage soft starter as well as mediumvoltage power supply applications. For these kinds of applications, it is necessary to use several silicon controlled rectifiers in series connection. The T600N95TOH is optimized to deliver excellent voltage sharing under all operating conditions. High-tech production processes deliver outstanding dynamic parameters for best-cost designs with less series-connected devices. The SCR is also suitable for general-purpose line voltage rectifier applications, e.g. power supplies and general-purpose drives. Key benefits ››Less devices in series due to high blocking voltage ››Simple way of series connection ››High surge current capability ››Easy for mounting due to standard housing Key features 6.5kV SCR No. of SCRs per soft starter 40 ››Ratings 42 9.5kV SCR 36 30 30 30 30 20 18 12 10 6 0 12 12 6 6 2.3kV 3.3kV 4.16kv 18 12 6.0kV VDRM = VRRM = 9500 V ITAVM = 600 A ››Housing Dimensions Height = 26 mm Diameter = 75 mm 18 12 6.6kV Applications 10.0kV 13.8kV 15.0kV Line Voltage The diagram above shows that 33 % - 50 % fewer SCRs, heat sinks and gate units are needed 9.5 kV SCRs are used instead of the 6.5 kV versions. This results in both significant cost and volume reductions as well as higher reliability. www.infineon-bipolar.com | www.ifbip-shop.com ››Medium-voltage soft starters ››Medium-voltage power supplies ››General-purpose drives Product Brief 600 A/9.5 kV Thyristor For medium-voltage soft starters, power supplies and general-purpose drives Electrical parameters T600N95TOH ››V ››V ››t ››I ››I =VRRM =9500 V =VRWM =8000 V DWM =10 ms; tp1 =300 us p =600 A (T =85 °C) TAVM C =12 kA TSM DRM According to IEC standard 60747-6 ›› V – Non-repetitive peak off-state voltage The highest instantaneous voltage of any non-repetitive off-state voltage. ›› VDRM – Repetitive peak off-state voltage The highest instantaneous voltage of any repetitive offstate voltage. ›› VDWM – Crest working off-state voltage The highest instantaneous value of the off-voltage, excluding all repetitive and non-repetitive transient voltages.
