Xtra-Guard® Flex Motor Supply Cable Tough, high performance flexible cable for motor and drive applications N ow you can get the exceptional performance of Xtra-Guard for motor and drive applications with Alpha Wire’s flexible motor supply cable. The symmetrical design of the cables results in a smaller diameter and easier routing of connectors to servomotors, AC drives, and variable-frequency drives (VFD). The combination of the conductor stranding and overall cable design make the product flexible and suitable for applications that require better flexibility. The cables are MTW-rated and meet the requirements of NFPA 79, allowing them to be used in industrial machinery applications. The cables use our Supra-Shield® combination of tinned copper braid and double layer of aluminum foil on polyester to offer exceptional EMI performance across the widest range of frequencies. • 16-6 AWG (1.32-13.49 mm2) conductor size range • Meet NFPA Standard 79 for industrial machinery remium PVC jacket for outstanding sunlight • P and oil resistance • S upra-Shield foil/braid for exceptional EMI protection • Ideal for motor, drive, wind turbine, and light-duty VFD applications • Products are available in bulk, cut to length • P roducts with STOOW portable rating as well as brake or signal pairs available on request Alpha Wire US/International 1-800-52 ALPHA | Europe: +44 (0) 800 288 8809 www.alphawire.com | [email protected] AL_1263_MotorSup_Flyer.indd 1 10/7/09 11:03 AM Specifications Materials Conductors Stranded bare copper Insulation PVC/Nylon ShieldingTinned copper braid (70% coverage) over aluminum/polyester/aluminum foil Jacket Premium PVC, black Physical & Mechanical Temperature Range Flexing: -5°C to +90°C Static: -20°C to +90°C Bend Radius 10x Cable Diameter Approvals UL Type TC-ER, MTW, WTTC CSA AWM l/ll A/B, FT4 Sunlight resistant Oil Res. l Electrical Voltage600 volt (UL Type TC-ER, MTW) 1000 volt (UL Type WTTC) Xtra-Guard Flex Motor Supply Cable Part No. Conductors Wire Size Stranding Nominal Diameter AWG mm2 AWG mm Inch mm Jacket Thickness Inch Insulation Thickness mm Inch mm 5660 4 16 1.49 26/30 65 x 0.25 0.381 9.67 0.050 1.27 0.016 0.40 5661 4 14 1.85 41/30 41 x 0.25 0.418 10.61 0.050 1.27 0.016 0.40 5662 4 12 2.41 65/30 65 x 0.25 0.464 11.78 0.050 1.27 0.016 0.40 5663 4 10 2.94 105/30 105 x 0.25 0.579 14.70 0.063 1.60 0.022 0.55 5664 4 8 4.21 168/30 168 x 0.25 0.760 19.30 0.063 1.60 0.032 0.81 5665 4 6 5.33 266/30 266 x 0.25 0.901 22.88 0.083 2.10 0.032 0.81 Ultraviolet Light Direct Burial Oil, Chemicals, Solvents, Fuels EMI Noise GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS 711 Lidgerwood Avenue Elizabeth, NJ 07207-0711 USA Toll Free: 1-800-52 ALPHA Tel: 1-908-925-8000 Fax: 1-908-925-5411 E-mail: [email protected] EUROPE Alpha Wire International Sunbury Int’l Business Centre | Brooklands Close | Windmill Road Sunbury-on-Thames | Middlesex | United Kingdom | TW16 7DX Tel: +44 (0) 800 288 8809 Fax: +44 (0) 800 288 8810 E-mail: [email protected] ©2009 Alpha Wire.
