July 2011 New information from CONEC GmbH Sensor Actor Line CONEC has expanded the M8x1 series circular field attachable connector family. Wires can be installed using built-in cage clamp or by soldering the wires to the contact tail. NEW: M8x1 axial type field attachable Integrated sensing range allows the user to disconnect or connect the conductors to the cage clamp without the requirement of tools. This feature allows the installation of wires with cross section from 0.14mm2 up to 0.34mm2, solid or stranded conductors. The connectors in a mated condition meet IP67 ratings. The connectors feature hexagon mounting rings that allow easy installation and the use of a conventional mounting or torque wrench. A suitable torque wrench is available from CONEC. To complete the product line, a field attachable solder version has been added. This series of connectors can accommodate cable with outside diameter from 4mm up to 5.5mm.
