Intersil Security Surveillance IC Solutions SLOC™ (SECURITY LINK OVER COAX) Advanced Communication Technology SLOC (Security Link Over Coax) is Intersil’s advanced communication technology that simultaneously transmits analog CVBS video and digital IP video over a single coaxial cable. This innovative technology enables modern megapixel IP cameras to operate in the existing CCTV coaxial cable infrastructure without the need for new wiring or modifications. Having both analog CVBS video and digital IP video in the same coaxial cable enables system manufacturers to architect cost-effective hybrid surveillance systems supporting both traditional analog CCTV and modern networked IP surveillance products. Intersil’s TW3801/3811 is a set of ICs designed for security/ surveillance applications. The TW3801 is the transmitter on the camera side, and the TW3811 is the receiver on the DVR/ network side. The combination of the TW3801 and the TW3811 enables high-performance, robust communication link between the camera and the receiver, operating over a very long coaxial cable.
