A unique feature of the indicator circuitry is that under some circumstances it is possible to get a fuse failure indication even when the load is disconnected. This is accomplished by capacitively coupling the indicator signal to the system neutral or, in the case of 3 phase circuits, to another phase. The rate of flash of the indicator is proportional to the line voltage and whether the load is connected or not. Typical flash rates and indicator current draws are as follows: 120Vac, load load 220Vac, load load connected: open: connected: open: 50µA, 10µA, 125µA, 20µA, 100 per minute 20 per minute 150 per minute 40 per minute The indicator is optimised for 220Vac operation and may be dim at other voltages. An alternative would be Weidmuller’s VM8 voltage monitor (consult factory for details.)
