The activation timeout can be altered by changing a resistor. • Depending on speed of operation in the automatic activation, it is advisable to initiate transmission by forcing the Transmit Data line low for a very short period (e.g. set break) prior to the transmission of data. • Default setting J2-8 in position 1-2 i.e. set for IBM PC with direct connection cable. DTR enabled, DSR and CTS enabled with pullup resistor to 10V.
