Both versions convert a 3V-10V source to 16V. The –A version supplies 1.6mA at 3Vin and the -B supplies 0.5mA. Both versions feature a low noise control scheme, integrated schottky diode and output disconnect function, ultra-low quiescent current, built in soft-start and overvoltage protection. The LT8410 datasheet gives a complete description ofthe parts, their operation and application information. The datasheet must be read in conjunction w ith this quick start guide for w orking on or modifying the demo circuit 1387. These circuits are intended for space-conscious applications such as Sensor Pow er, RF M ems and GeneralPurpose Bias Supplies. Design files for this circuit board are available. Call the LTC factory. Refer to Figure 1 for proper measurement equipment setup and follow the procedure below : 2. W ith pow er off, connect the input pow er supply to Vin and G N D. 3. Turn on the pow er at the input. Check for the proper output voltages. Vout = 15.52V to 16.48V. NOTE. W hen measuring the input or output voltage ripple, care must be taken to avoid a long ground lead on the oscilloscope probe. M easure the input or output voltage ripple by touching the probe tip directly across the Vin or Vout and GND terminals. See Figure 2 for proper scope probe technique. NOTE. Ifthere is no output, temporarily disconnect the load to make sure that the load is not set too high. 4. O nce the proper output voltage is established, adjust the load w ithin the operating range and observe the output voltage regulation, ripple voltage, efficiency and other parameters. 1.
