SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNICAL DATA The MC10H/100H603 is a 9–bit, dual supply ECL to TTL translator. Devices in the Motorola 9–bit translator series utilize the 28–lead PLCC for optimal power pinning, signal flow–through and electrical performance. The devices feature a 48 mA TTL output stage, and AC performance is specified into both a 50 pF and 200 pF load capacitance. Latching is controlled by Latch Enable (LEN), and Master Reset (MR) resets the latches. A HIGH on OEECL sends the outputs into the high impedance state. All control inputs are ECL level. The 10H version is compatible with MECL 10H ECL logic levels. The 100H version is compatible with 100K levels. • • • • • • • 9–Bit Ideal for Byte–Parity Applications 3–State TTL Outputs Flow–Through Configuration Extra TTL and ECL Power Pins to Minimize Switching Noise Dual Supply 6.0 ns Max Delay into 50 pF, 12 ns into 200 pF (all outputs switching) PNP TTL Inputs for Low Loading FN SUFFIX PLASTIC PACKAGE CASE 776–02 PIN NAMES LOGIC SYMBOL OEECL DQ EN Q0 D1 DQ EN Q1 D2 DQ EN Q2 D3 DQ EN Q3 DQ EN Q4 D0 ECL D4 D5 D6 D7 D8 FUNCTION GND VCCE VCCT VEE D0 – D8 Q0 – Q8 OEECL LEN MR TTL Ground (0 V) ECL VCC (0 V) TTL Supply (+ 5.0 V) ECL Supply (– 5.2 / – 4.5 V) Data Inputs (ECL) Data Outputs (TTL) 3-State Control (ECL) Latch Enable (ECL) Master Reset (ECL) TRUTH TABLE D LEN MR OEECL Q L H X X X L L H X X L L L H X L L L L H L H Q0 L Z Pinout: 28–Lead PLCC (Top View) TTL Q5 GND VCCT Q6 GND Q7 Q8 25 DQ EN Q5 DQ EN Q6 DQ EN Q7 DQ EN Q8 24 23 22 21 20 19 Q4 26 18 D8 Q3 27 17 D7 VCCT 28 16 VCCE 15 D6 Q2 GND 2 14 D5 Q1 3 13 D4 Q0 4 12 D3 5 6 7 8 9 10 MR LEN OEECL VEE D0 D1 LEN MR 3/93 Motorola, Inc. 1996 PIN 2–311 REV 5 11 D2 MC10H603 MC100H603 DC CHARACTERISTICS: VCCT = 5.0 V ± 10%; VEE = – 5.2 V ± 5% (10H version); VEE = – 4.2 V to – 5.5 V (100H version) 0°C 25°C 75°C Min Max Min Max Min Max U i Unit ECL – 45 – 63 – 45 – 64 – 45 – 68 mA TTL 80 110 80 110 80 110 mA ICCL 80 110 80 110 80 110 mA ICCZ 80 110 80 110 80 110 mA –100 – 225 –100 – 225 –100 – 225 mA VOUT = 0 V S b l Symbol IEE P Parameter Power Supply Current ICCH IOS Output Short Circuit Current IOZH Output Disable Current IOZL C di i Condition HIGH 50 50 50 µA VOUT = 2.7 V LOW – 50 – 50 – 50 µA VOUT = 0.5 V AC CHARACTERISTICS: VCCT = 5.0 V ± 10%; VEE = – 5.2 V ± 5% (10H version); VEE = – 4.2 V to – 5.5 V (100H version) 0°C S b l Symbol tPLH tPHL 75°C Min Max Min Max Min Max U i Unit D 3.0 6.4 6.0 12 3.0 6.4 6.0 12 3.0 6.4 6.0 12 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF LEN 3.5 7.0 6.5 13 3.5 7.0 6.5 13 3.5 7.0 6.5 13 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF MR 3.0 6.0 6.0 12 3.0 6.0 6.0 12 3.0 6.0 6.0 12 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF P Parameter Propagation Delay to Output 25°C ts th tw(L) Set–Up Time, D to LEN Hold Time, D to LEN LEN Pulse Width, LOW 1.5 0.8 2.0 tPLZ tPHZ Output Disable Time 2.5 4.2 6.5 13 2.5 4.2 6.5 13 2.5 4.2 6.5 13 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF tPZL tPZH Output Enable Time 2.0 4.0 5.0 10 2.0 4.0 5.0 10 2.0 4.0 5.0 10 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF tR tF Output Rise/Fall Time 1.0 V – 2.0 V 0.2 0.2 1.2 3.0 0.2 0.2 1.2 3.0 0.2 0.2 1.2 3.0 ns ns CL = 50 pF CL = 200 pF MOTOROLA 1.5 0.8 2.0 2–312 1.5 0.8 2.0 C di i Condition ns ns ns MECL Data DL122 — Rev 6 MC10H603 MC100H603 10H ECL DC CHARACTERISTICS: VCCT = 5.0 V ± 10%; VEE = – 5.2 V ± 5% 0°C S b l Symbol P Parameter Min 25°C Max IIH IIL Input HIGH Current Input LOW Current 0.5 VIH VIL Input HIGH Voltage Input LOW Voltage –1170 –1950 Min 75°C Max 225 0.5 – 840 –1480 Min Max U i Unit 145 µA µA – 735 –1450 mV 145 0.5 –1130 –1950 – 810 –1480 –1070 –1950 C di i Condition 100H ECL DC CHARACTERISTICS: VCCT = 5.0 V ± 10%; VEE = – 4.2 V to – 5.5 V 0°C S b l Symbol P Parameter Min 25°C Max IIH IIL Input HIGH Current Input LOW Current 0.5 VIH VIL Input HIGH Voltage Input LOW Voltage –1165 –1810 Min 75°C Max 225 Max U i Unit 145 µA µA – 880 –1475 mV 145 0.5 – 880 –1475 Min 0.5 –1165 –1810 – 880 –1475 –1165 –1810 C di i Condition TTL DC CHARACTERISTICS: VCCT = 5.0 V ± 10%; VEE = – 5.2 V ± 5% (10H version); VEE = – 4.2 V to – 5.5 V (100H version) 0°C S b l Symbol P Parameter VIH VIL Input HIGH Voltage Input LOW Voltage IIH Min 25°C Max 2.0 Min 75°C Max 2.0 Min Max U i Unit V V 2.0 C di i Condition 0.8 0.8 0.8 Input HIGH Current 20 100 20 100 20 100 µA VIN = 2.7 V VIN = 7.0 V IIL Input LOW Current – 0.6 – 0.6 – 0.6 mA VIN = 0.5 V VIK Input Clamp Voltage –1.2 –1.2 –1.2 V IIN = –18 mA VOH Output HIGH Voltage V V IOH = – 3.0 mA IOH = –15 mA VOL Output LOW Voltage V IOL = 48 mA MECL Data DL122 — Rev 6 2.5 2.0 2.5 2.0 0.55 2–313 2.5 2.0 0.55 0.55 MOTOROLA MC10H603 MC100H603 OUTLINE DIMENSIONS FN SUFFIX PLASTIC PLCC PACKAGE CASE 776–02 ISSUE D 0.007 (0.180) B T L–M M N S T L–M S S Y BRK –N– 0.007 (0.180) U M N S D Z –M– –L– W 28 D X G1 0.010 (0.250) T L–M S N S S V 1 VIEW D–D A 0.007 (0.180) R 0.007 (0.180) M T L–M S N S C M T L–M S N 0.007 (0.180) H Z M T L–M N S S S K1 E 0.004 (0.100) G J S K SEATING PLANE F VIEW S G1 0.010 (0.250) –T– T L–M S N S M T L–M S N S VIEW S NOTES: 1.
