RF-7800S
Mountable Secure
Personal Radio Kit
Seamless voice and data
integration with tactical
networks
The RF-7800S provides secure digitized voice and data communication
in a small, integrated package suitable for mounting in a variety of
applications. The Mountable Radio Kit provides the same industryleading communication services offered by the RF-7800S Secure
Personal Radio (SPR), adding physical and electrical interfaces that
directly connect with the host platform.
The Mountable Radio Kit provides reliable communication and
can be used as part of an SPR or established Combat Net Radio
communication network. It operates using the same Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) and Harris Citadel selectable encryption
configuration. The unit supports full-duplex, priority-based voice
conferencing and data transmission. Built-in rebroadcast capability
allows a single radio to automatically range-extend the network.
The unit offers a standard USB interface, supporting a full range of
digital communications, including situational awareness applications,
data messaging/imaging capabilities, and GPS position reporting.
The Mountable Radio Kit includes a four-bolt mounting system,
external removable GPS antenna, and DC power cable for connection
to MIL-STD-1275 power systems. The kit requires a 12 or 24 volt
power connection, and is compatible with most vehicles. The system
provides the same standard audio and data connectors found on
the RF-7800S-TR SPR radio and supports a full range of accessories.
