This singlechip solution performs DVD demultiplexing and parsing, MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 video decoding, subpicture decoding, highlight processing, and audio/video synchronization. Content Protection for Prerecorded Media (CPPM) and Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM) support is integrated. The on-chip graphics processor and OSD units provide great flexibility in creating sophisticated onscreen user interfaces. Web Browsing The Vaddis 5 system-on-a-chip architecture enables simultaneous DVD playback and high-quality Web browsing with its powerful CPU and hardware accelerators. The on-chip 2D graphics engine with three display planes enables full-screen display of 16-bit color user interfaces and content. DSP acceleration for decoding of compressed still images and Internet audio allow for an enriching user experience. Separate OSD planes allow for efficient partitioning of user interfaces and content for maximum throughput. Hardware deflicker filtering enables the high quality display of Web content on an interlaced television display.
