It is recommended that customer use nitrogen reflow method. z Repairing should not be done after the LEDs have been soldered. When repairing is required, double-head soldering iron should be used. Customer should confirm whether the characteristics of the LEDs will or will not damaged before carrying out the repair. z Reflow soldering should not be done more than two times z When soldering, do not put stress on the LEDs during heating. z After soldering, do not warp the circuit board. Manual Hand Soldering Notes z For prototype builds or small production runs, it is possible to place and solder the emitters. z It is recommended to hand solder the leads and slug with a solder tip temperature of 230ºC for less than 10seconds. This profile ensures a junction temperature below the maximum of 120ºC, avoiding damage to the emitter or to the MCPCB dielectric layer. Damage dielectric layer can cause a short circuit in the array. Other Important Notes: z The information contained herein is presented only as a Guide for the application of our products.
